Selling to payers isn't for the faint-hearted; long sales cycles and opaque processes await. We're seeking an entrepreneurial dynamo energized by this challenge to join as one of Anterior's first "quota-carriers." It's an incredibly exciting time at Anterior; we've raised our $20M Series A from NEA, Sequoia, and other leading founders-turned-angels. After spending the last 12 months building and deploying our platform, we're now ready to scale and close more deals. There are no limits to how far you can go here – we envision this person becoming a future commercial leader at Anterior.
About the role
You'll drive our revenue expansion firsthand, mastering the art of taking a product to market and scaling it to multi-million-dollar ARR
You'll own and develop our sales pipeline, close high-impact deals, and work alongside our Head of Sales and COO to shape our go-to-market strategy and refine our ideal customer profile
You'll shape our sales approach and craft processes on the fly, testing new messaging and outbound tactics
You'll become our resident expert in showcasing and pitching the product with unmatched clarity and effectiveness
You'll network with health plan leaders, attending key events worldwide, and become a known face in this industry
Your role will significantly shape the business, either by bringing in strategic clients or building the teams that fuel our expansion – in our meritocratic environment, there are no limits to your growth
You'll collaborate closely with product, engineering, and customer success teams, bringing insights from customer conversations directly into our roadmap and gaining unique exposure to how great products and companies are built
About you
You're based in (or willing to relocate to) New York and excited to work in a "default in-person" environment
You're ambitious, competitive, and passionate about accelerating your career
You have at least 5+ years of quota-carrying direct sales experience in a full-cycle, closing role with strong prospecting, qualifying, negotiating, and closing skills
You have a consistent track record of hitting or exceeding sales targets, closing deals with 9–12 month sales cycles, ACVs of at least $250-500k, and involving 4 or more stakeholders (including C-Suite executives)
You've sold technology to payer organizations (e.g., health plans, delegated UM entities)
You're entrepreneurial with a reputation for hustle, eager to join a fast-scaling business and reap the commercial upside
You have a proven track record of stellar performance, whether in sports, sales, or your personal pursuits
You're sharp and can dive into the technical details of our product without heavily relying on engineers
You possess keen commercial intuition, exude executive presence, and understand the levers needed to influence people and drive the sales process
You're knowledgeable about healthcare trends (especially payer-related ones) and can speak intelligently about AI's future in healthcare, even if you're not an AI expert

Role fit interview (45 mins): Here, you'll meet either the Hiring Manager or a team member of a similar level to discuss your ways of working and understand your skillset and ability for the role.
Take-home & competency deep dive (1 hour) This interview usually consists of a practical element (case study, Presentation, Technical Problem Solving etc) designed to give you a broader understanding of how we drive impact at Anterior. This will be with the hiring manager and one other team member.
Culture interview (45 mins): A conversation with one of our Culture Champions. We assess your team fit based on our values.
