The Role:

As a Member of Technical Staff at Anterior, you will take ownership of complex technical challenges, delivering impactful solutions that align with our mission. You’ll work closely with a multidisciplinary team to shape scalable infrastructure, craft robust backend systems, and co-create transformative tools for clinicians.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable infrastructure and backend services.

• Collaborate with Product Managers and clinicians to create user-centric solutions.

• Build and manage infrastructure for high-throughput systems with significant user bases.

• Leverage expertise in multi-cloud environments, including Azure, AWS, and on-premises architectures.

• Apply Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles using tools like Terraform, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Ensure software quality through best practices, including modular code, testing, and secure design.

• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of growth and innovation.

About You:

• Empathy for users: You prioritize end-user feedback, collaborating with Product Managers to deliver intuitive solutions.

• Proven expertise: You’ve built and maintained infrastructure for large-scale projects with substantial revenue or user impact.

• Scalability focus: You understand the dimensions of scale and have experience with scalable backend systems and message queues.

• Cloud-native mindset: Expertise in multi-cloud environments and tools like Terraform and Docker.

• Startup ready: You thrive in self-directed, adaptable environments like early-stage startups or greenfield projects.

• Team player: You’ve led multidisciplinary teams using agile methodologies and fostered a collaborative, innovative culture.

• Bonus skills: Experience with data pipelines, enterprise integrations, or AWS/Azure Marketplace offerings is a plus.

Hiring process & application

1. Review: Submit resume

2. Screening call (30 mins): A call with one of our team to talk through your current/past experience, your motivations and tell you more about Anterior

3. Technical Phone Screen: Paired programming session to gain a baseline of your technical ability.

4. Final Interview

   1. In-person technical interview (2x 45 mins): You'll be given a task to complete in person with two of our engineers to showcase your technical skills

   2. Culture Interview (30 mins): You'll have the opportunity to converse with members of the Anterior team, and help evaluate if you're someone we'd like to welcome aboard and if you also perceive us as a team you'd like to be part of
